The Story

I’m an artist who truly understands what it takes to run an art business - because I’ve been there. While today’s creative world offers more opportunities than ever to sell work outside traditional galleries - through social media, online platforms like Saatchi, and personal websites - navigating these tools can be overwhelming. Building a website and online presence, managing inventory, creating email newsletters… these tasks are essential but often pull us away from the studio.

That’s where The Coordinated Canvas comes in.

For the last several the years, I’ve learned through trial and error how to balance the creative with the practical. And surprisingly (or maybe not), I discovered that I actually enjoy the organizing, the systems, the planning - the very parts of the process many artists find frustrating or time-consuming.

My background is uniquely suited for this role. Before becoming a full-time artist, I was a certified art teacher for over 20 years. Additionally, responsible for running the art department and all it entails. Even earlier, I worked as a bookkeeper and business manager for various companies. This mix of experience gives me a rare combination: a deep understanding of both the creative process and the nuts and bolts of running a business.

I still create and manage my own art practice, but I now also dedicate time to helping other creatives do the same. Whether it’s writing and managing email campaigns, organizing inventory, launching and maintaining websites, or handling the day-to-day details that can pile up - I’m here to help artists get back to what they love most: making art.
